Citrine Point

Citrine gains its name from a Greek word that translates to mean Citron. Throughout history this name was often used to describe yellow minerals, not just Citrine. Whilst it is not fully documented, it is assumed Citrine was referenced throughout history for its high vibration.

Crystalline structure:

Citrine is Quartz which gains its colour from Iron inclusions. Some of the most famous Citrine comes from the Minas Geras religion of Brazil, Sri Lanka, India, or Madagascar.

Citrine rates at 7 on the Mohs scale.

Metaphysical Properties:

Citrine works with the Third Eye, Solar Plexus, Sacral, and Root Chakras.

Citrine is a high vibrational crystal, it has a strong connection to creativity through the Solar Plexus and Sacral Chakras. It is said to help unlock your creativity and truest desires by working in combination with your Third Eye (intuition) and lower Chakras.

It is said to encourage you to focus and do, rather than simply dreaming about your goals. As it works with your Root Chakra, also, it enables you to ground these energies into your reality, encouraging you to manifest your truest desires.

This mineral also holds strong connections with Mother Earth, as it activates all of your lower chakras, rooting you to Mother Earth.

Crystal Points:

Crystal points are ideal for helping you keep focused and ‘on point’. They are fantastic to use during meditation or Reiki to help direct the energy in your desired direction.

This is a natural piece.

Natural vs Unnatural Citrine:

Citrine is a natural mineral, however, there are various types of man-made and heat-treated vsriations available.

Natural Citrine is rare and often expensive. The colours of natural citrine can vary in tone and hue, from pale to a more intense yellow. You can also find a combination of Smoky Citrine which adds a brown tint to the colour.

Amethyst and Smoky Quartz can be heat-treated, turning it into a yellow/orange tone mineral which is often labelled as Citrine, however it isn’t.

An alternative man-made Citrine occurs with irradiating Quartz. This creates a pale to strong yellow colouring, again, often labelled as Citrine, but isn’t.

Man-made and heat-treated Citrine still provide benefits when working with them, and can often provide a helpful alternative, especially if price is an important aspect. We always try to make it clear what we are selling, so name the crystals correctly, as to not mislead our customers, as we believe you being able to make an informed decision is a priority.
