Amazonite is an alkali feldspar mineral (microline). The crystals form in small prismatic crystals, or large masses. The colours can range from a pale blue-green, to a deep turquoise/blue. The colour can come from traces of lead and water within the feldspar. 
 
The mineral has recently been found in combination with Quartz and Smoky Quartz inclusions.
